Does Truth Exist?

After exploring the novel, Nothing But the Truth,we questioned the significance of the Constitution's First Amendment. Many of you made some insightful comments in your essays. I began to wonder why some believed the first amendment should be limited and banned, while others of you did not believe speech should ever be limited or banned. It starting me thinking...does truth even exist? Think about that for a moment. If each person has their own definition of truth, does truth really exist? Does it connect with our class discussions about there are three sides to every story...yours, mine, and the truth. What do you think, does truth exist? Explain your response.

    I think jugding by 'Nothing But the Truth' the truth will never be reveled if you only listen to one side of the story.On the other hand I think that the truth does exist when it is time. C.SWAIN

    of something also it's like a half truth is a whole lie to me yes a half truth is a whole lie cause your telling a half truth.That's a whole lie cause it's the half truth.

    I thank the truth exist to a serent point. Everyone has there own truth. The truth comes with a yours, mine, and what really hapend.It is not liting when someon eask you what hapend, because you tell what you sean. For example, if a child gets kidnapt, and there are many bystanders, that se the same van that took the child. Well some people may have seen a black van whaen others seen a white van, and the van was really brown. Thes people did not lie they just saw diffrent things. So i thank the truth can only come form the person that does the crim or what wver hapends.

    I thank that the truth do exist becouse all the people that is in jail they had to tell a story and 99.9% of the time it is the truth

    I think the truth does exsits because everyone dont lie well at least some people. The truth should exsits because the half truth is absoulutley an lie . Why tell half and dont tell the whole thing . If you tell a lie the firdt time you will have to tell another lie to cover the one you just told . What a web we weave when we practice to decive.     The truth can snd it can't. The truth will have you thinking. I still believe it should be limited because, most people like to say rude things to others to get others hurt or killed. The truth can't exist because, almost everyone told a lie in their life, so the truth can be told right or wrong.

    I believe that the truth does exist, just like in court rooms people have to put there hand on the bible and tell the truth and nothing but the truth . Just like catching a crime you have seen and you have all the evidence they need. The truth does exist people just take advantage of it .

    I think that the truth is true in your on opion beacuse other people might think you are lying. Everyone tells the truth and everyone lies. So it's up to you to make the right decision on who to believe. That is what I think the truth is. Tyler Mead

    Does the truth really exist?? sometimes... because most people lie about most of the things they do or say. in Nothing But The Truth Phillip lied abot Miss Narwin so he could get out of her class because, he was failing her class and he wanted to make the Track team. So he started lying and his lies caught up too him. Terrell Mccain
